Who Should Apply

The Al-Quds Bard Study Abroad Program is designed to meet the needs of undergraduate students currently enrolled at a college or university in North America and who wish to spend their spring or fall semester studying in Palestine at the Al-Quds Bard Honors College for Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Our interdisciplinary curriculum has something to offer students from a diversity of academic backgrounds. A semester at the Honors College may be a particularly good fit for students with an academic interest and/or background in the Middle East, Arabic language, and/or human rights, social justice, and peace studies. At the same time, students pursuing their studies in the sciences may be drawn to the breadth of science courses on offer. Both beginners learning Arabic for the first-time and students with a year or more of college-level Arabic will find many opportunities to acquire and strengthen Arabic language skills. Arabic language is not a pre-requisite for admission.

Important NoteAdmission for the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 semesters will be open primarily to students currently attending Bard College. Some exceptions may apply. Starting with the 2012-2013 academic year, admission will be open to students enrolled in any North American college or university.
